Tokyo Subway Pass

I would tell you pieces of Japan,
and I will start with review Tokyo Subway Pass.
Tokyo Subway is the biggest public transportation in Tokyo that covers almost Tokyo district, it also the most chosen public transport by the local citizen. The price is average for public transport in Japan, but it would be cheapest if you are using it as a foreign traveler or that means somebody who is coming to Tokyo as a traveler and he/she is not as Japan citizen.
But how it works?
Here, the Tokyo Subway Pass
Subway in Tokyo has 2 brands, Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway with the same station.
With this pass, you would get free access for those brands.
This pass has 3 different types of cards, 24 hours ticket, 48 hours ticket, and 72 hours ticket.
The Red for 24 hours validity,
Price: Adult ¥800, Child ¥400
The Blue for 48 hours validity,
Price: Adult ¥1200, Child ¥600
The Green for 72 hours validity,
Price: Adult ¥1500, Child ¥750
For the price is way-way-way cheaper than buying as a single ticket or by tapping e-money and the price itself just for foreigner traveler as a privilege from the Tokyo Government to increase incoming from tourism. So the local citizen cost for the subway is more expensive than us as a foreigner traveler using this pass.
But, you cannot buy this pass in anywhere, just in selected places.

If you too lazy to remember the list of places, just for safe be remember that you could buy this pass at Tokyo airport (Haneda and Narita) in your arrival time. Sometimes you should show your passport for proving you are a foreign traveler.
My personal experience, I always buying my ticket pass in my hotel (Sakura Hostel Jimbocho) because they provide selling this pass too.
This validity will be starting when the first time you tap this ticket pass in the ticket machine at any subway station.
You can see in the behind of ticket the expiration date and time are printed, like this...
It printed in Japan word that means expiration in the year 2018 month 12 date 8 hours 10 over 25 minutes, so it not like another timing expiration that valid just for that day even we are using less than 24 hours then when it changed day that means over midnight, the card will be expiration, but this ticket pass isn't.
Another privilege that you'll get extra value offer and discount by showing this pass, it called CHIKA TOKU extra value, you can check the places that give you offers and discount here
It covers many things like restaurants, shops, salons, entertainment, museum, park, etc.
So, here my recommendation if you are planning to go to Tokyo and you are on a budget or just curious how life is as local citizen, subway line cover all the tourist spot. Don't worry if you are first timer using subway as transportation, get lost is no big deal because in Tokyo you can ask everyone for help even they are not speaking English, you will know what their answer to help you, pssst...dont be surprised if the Japanese will help you in totality, like deliver you until the places you should be waiting for the right subway line and etc.
